Description:

This blend of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris has a bright golden-yellow colour with light green reflections. On the nose, intense aromas of ripe peach, pineapple and citrus come together with subtle notes of honey, vanilla and toasted hazelnut, derived from ageing in new French oak barrels. The palate is creamy and full, with a lovely balance between fresh acidity and rich structure. The oak ageing adds complexity and depth, giving the wine a silky texture with notes of butter, toast and spice. The finish is long and refined, with lingering notes of vanilla, citrus zest and a light minerality.

Food pairing:

Grilled scallops, lobster in butter sauce, creamy truffle risotto.

Winery:

Château Chantegrive is a renowned family estate in Graves, Bordeaux. Founded in 1966, it is known for its passionate approach to winegrowing, with a focus on finesse and elegance. Cuvée Caroline is the house's top cuvée and is produced with great care. The grapes are picked by hand and fermented in oak barrels, followed by bâtonnage (regular stirring of the lees) to give the wine extra richness and depth. Thanks to the unique terroir of Graves, with its pebble-rich soils and favourable microclimate, Château Chantegrive manages year after year to create a refined and balanced white wine that ages beautifully in bottle.
