Wine Experience with Character
At Thiessen, we organize weekly tastings and specially tailored wine arrangements. You will taste some exceptional wines with matching snacks, and during a tour, our sommelier will take you through our beautiful historic building with characteristic wine cellars.

Weekly wine tastings
Experience our inspiring wine tastings, held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. A special part of the experience is a guided tour through our centuries old wine cellars and historic city building. Afterwards, under the guidance of our sommelier, enjoy six carefully selected wines paired with matching bites. The cost is €39.50 per person. Our weekly tastings are suitable for both individual guests and groups.
The tastings are conducted in Dutch by default and last approximately two hours. After the tasting, you are warmly invited to visit our wine shop, where you can discover the wines you have tasted and add them to your own collection at an attractive discount.

Thiessen is a wine merchant with a centuries old history and more than three hundred years of wine expertise. We are pleased to share this knowledge in a way that suits your preferences. Depending on the group, we can provide in depth insights or keep the wine tasting more informal and approachable.
Do you have a preference for a specific type of wine? Consider a champagne tasting in our elegant champagne cellar, a port tasting in the port cellar, or a Bordeaux, Burgundy, or New World tasting. We are happy to think along with you about the possibilities.

Wine & Food Pairing
Enjoy a complete wine experience during our special Wine & Food evening. Our chef and wine expert carefully create a four or five course menu with matching tasting glasses, all from our own kitchen and cellar. During dinner, our sommelier will gladly tell you more about the wine and food pairings. In addition, you will enjoy an exclusive guided tour through our authentic wine cellar, making the experience even more memorable.
Wine & Food Pairing is a characterful and intimate experience, specially created for guests who appreciate exceptional wines, refined cuisine, and memorable evenings in a unique setting.
WINE TASTING
Enjoying a private tasting?
Are you visiting with more than 10 guests and would you prefer a private tasting? During a private tasting, you will have your own sommelier at the table. The full attention is dedicated to your group, while both the explanations and the wines are specially tailored to your preferences. Please note that a private tasting does not automatically include a private room. If desired, we are happy to arrange this for an additional fee.
The cost of a private tasting is €42.50 per person for groups of 10 guests or more. For smaller groups, a minimum rate of €425 applies.
