This Grésigny comes from a south-south-east-facing slope at around 300 m, planted with 100 % Chardonnay. The grapes are carefully hand-picked and cold-pressed, followed by alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in French oak. The wine was aged for 15 months in oak barrels (20 % new). In the glass it shows a pure gold colour, with a complex nose of wafer-thin late-ripened fruit flavours—papaya, yellow pear, a hint of lemon—together with lovely brioche, toast, chalk, flint and subtle notes of bivoks and toasted bread. The palate is refined and creamy, with a fresh, precise acid structure, elegant oak, fine minerality and a long finish with citrus accents and toasty nuances .
This elegant Rully 1er Cru pairs perfectly with scallops, oysters, roasted fish or asparagus risotto. Creamy mushroom dishes and soft cheeses also match seamlessly with its minerality and refined oak notes.
