Villerambert Viognier 2025 from the Bonfils family is a juicy, aromatic white wine from the Languedoc, made from one hundred percent Viognier and vinified without oak, so the fruit of the grape takes centre stage. In the glass the wine shows a bright straw-yellow colour. The nose is open and floral, with notes of white flowers and citrus, complemented by the hints of apricot and peach so characteristic of Viognier, and a touch of almond.
On the palate the wine is fresh and well structured, with the pleasant roundness typical of Viognier, balanced by lively acidity and a stony minerality. The stone fruit and citrus from the nose return, with a light touch of almond. The finish is fresh and medium-long, making the wine equally suited as an aperitif or at the table.
Delicious with grilled chicken with apricots, mildly spiced Asian dishes such as a yellow curry, or with goat's cheese and creamy fish dishes.
