a beautiful expression of the Mosel terroir. Produced in the VDP Grosse Lage, this wine stands at the highest quality level of dry German Rieslings. The Lieserer Niederberg Helden vineyard, set on steep slate slopes, supplies the grapes for this powerful yet refined Riesling. In the glass the wine shows a bright, pale yellow colour. On the nose rich aromas of ripe peach, apricot and citrus fruit come to the fore, complemented by subtle notes of white flowers and an underlying minerality. The palate is full and concentrated, with a perfect balance between ripe fruit, lively acidity and the deep mineral touch that is characteristic of the Mosel region. Despite its intensity the wine remains fresh, with a silky mouthfeel and a long, persistent finish.
Perfect with grilled fish, seafood and white meat in creamy sauces.
