Description:

The Viognier 2023 from Wijngaard Apostelhoeve is an elegant and aromatic white wine that perfectly reflects the exceptional terroir of South Limburg. In the glass the wine shows a brilliant pale yellow colour with golden reflections. The aromatic profile offers scents of ripe peach, apricot and white blossom, typical of the Viognier grape. On the palate this wine offers a full body with a soft texture and a lovely balance between ripe fruit and fresh acidity. The subtle floral notes come through nicely on the palate, while the finish is round and long, with a refined minerality. The Apostelhoeve Viognier is a rich yet fresh wine that lends itself perfectly both to refined dishes and to enjoying on its own.

Food pairing:

Delicious with dishes such as grilled fish, lobster, creamy sauces and mature cheeses.

Winery:

Wijngaard Apostelhoeve is one of the oldest and best-known vineyards in the Netherlands, located on the sunny slopes of the Louwberg just outside Maastricht. The winery was founded in 1970 and has since played an important role in the revival of Dutch viticulture. The Apostelhoeve covers some 25 hectares and produces various white wines from grapes such as Riesling, Müller-Thurgau and Auxerrois. With a unique terroir of limestone-rich soil, the Apostelhoeve offers an excellent environment for growing quality wines. The winery is known for its meticulous winemaking and sustainable farming methods. The wines of the Apostelhoeve are recognised nationally and internationally and enjoy growing popularity for their finesse and excellent quality.
