The wine has a deep amber colour with golden glints, typical of a well-aged Marsala. On the nose, intense aromas of dried figs, raisins, candied orange peel and vanilla come to the fore, complemented by subtle notes of caramel, almonds and spice. The palate is full and silky, with a harmonious balance between sweetness and a light spiciness. The notes of dried fruit and caramel are supported by a delicate touch of oak, giving the wine extra depth and complexity. The finish is long and warm, with lingering notes of honey, vanilla and roasted nuts, so that every sip invites the next.
Excellent with sweet desserts such as tiramisu, cannoli and panna cotta, but also delicious with blue cheeses or as a digestif.
