Villerambert Chardonnay is a white IGP Pays d'Oc from the Bonfils family, named after Château Villerambert in Caunes-Minervois. In the glass it shows a bright, pale yellow colour with golden reflections. The nose is open and expressive, with white flowers, pineapple, citrus and lychee, complemented by a hint of walnut that adds extra complexity.
On the palate the wine is harmonious and refined, with a lovely balance between ripe fruit and fresh acidity. The texture is soft and round, as befits a sunny Chardonnay from the Languedoc, without becoming heavy. The finish is long and fruity. An approachable, versatile Chardonnay with more finesse than its price would suggest.
Delicious with poultry, grilled fish, pasta in cream sauce or soft cheeses; also excellent as an aperitif.
