This dessert wine, known locally as "Laote Haange" (Limburgish for Late Harvest), is made from overripe Chardonnay grapes affected by botrytis cinerea. The wine offers a complex bouquet of lime, grated citrus zest, nectarine, lychee and pineapple. On the palate the wine is rich and full, with a perfect balance between the residual sugar (113 g/l) and the fresh acidity (7.5 g/l), resulting in an elegant and uplifting finish.
This wine pairs beautifully with fruit desserts, tarte tatin or a foie gras mousse.
