Description:

Cazaux 2021 Vacqueyras Cuvée des Templiers is an expressive southern Rhône wine with an intense and complex nose and palate. In the glass the wine shows a deep ruby-red colour with purple accents. The nose opens with ripe black cherry, blackberry and plum, followed by hints of pepper, clove, thyme and a subtle touch of leather and liquorice. On the palate this Vacqueyras has a full and concentrated body, with refined tannins and well-balanced acidity. The taste is rich and powerful, with notes of dark fruit, spicy nuances and a touch of cocoa. The finish is long and elegant, with lingering spice and subtle minerality.

Food pairing:

Ideal with grilled lamb chops, stews and hard cheeses such as Comté or Manchego.
