The wine has a bright, straw-yellow colour with green highlights, reflecting its freshness. The nose is intense and refreshing, with dominant aromas of citrus fruits such as lime and grapefruit, together with floral notes of white flowers such as jasmine. The minerality, characteristic of the soils of the terroir around the lagoons of Thau, comes through subtly and gives the wine extra complexity. The palate is lively and fresh, with a fine balance between fruity and mineral notes. The acidity is taut and gives the wine its refreshing and vibrant character. The finish is elegant and long, with a light saltiness that gives the wine even more depth and recalls the nearby Mediterranean Sea. This Picpoul de Pinet is an excellent wine to enjoy with seafood, grilled fish or a fresh salad, but is also perfect as an aperitif on a sunny day.
Perfect with seafood, oysters, grilled fish, salad with goat's cheese or as an aperitif.
