Scala Dei Sant Antoni 2019 is a 100% Garnacha from one of Spain's most iconic wine regions: Priorat DOQ. Scala Dei, the oldest winery in Priorat, is known for its authentic wines that perfectly capture the essence of this rugged, mineral terroir. The wine has a bright ruby-red colour with subtle garnet tints at the rim. On the nose, aromas of ripe red berries such as raspberries and cherries come forward, complemented by hints of dried herbs, violets and subtle spices. The influence of the Llicorella slate soils gives the wine a characteristic minerality. On the palate, the wine is elegant and refined, with an excellent balance between fruity freshness, fine acidity and subtle tannins. Flavours of ripe strawberry, plums and a touch of balsamic are complemented by earthy and smoky notes. The finish is long and layered, with a mineral touch typical of Priorat.
