Conte Giangirolamo in double magnum is the flagship of Tenute Girolamo in an impressive format: a blend of 50% Primitivo and 50% Negroamaro from the Valle d'Itria. The vineyard lies at 450 metres above sea level, on limestone mixed with red earth. In the glass the wine shows an intense ruby-red colour with violet reflections. The nose is fruity, with cherry, blackberry and blueberry, elegant herbs and a refined touch of vanilla and cocoa.
After eighteen months in French barriques and six months in bottle, the wine is dry, full and harmonious, with rich fruit and well-integrated tannins. In a three-litre bottle the wine matures slowly and evenly, so it will continue to develop beautifully for years. The finish is long and lingering. A celebration bottle that makes an impression at the table; open well in advance.
Perfect for large gatherings, with roast or braised beef, leg of lamb, rich pasta dishes and mature cheeses.
