This Condrieu has a bright, golden-yellow colour with brilliant highlights. On the nose it is expressive and seductive, with aromas of ripe peach, apricot, acacia and honeysuckle. There are also subtle notes of honey, almond and a light spiciness from ageing in oak. The palate is intense and mouth-filling. The velvety texture and rich fruit aromas are supported by a fine freshness, creating a lovely balance. The light oak ageing adds a subtle creaminess and complexity without overpowering the freshness of the wine. The finish is long and elegant, with mineral notes and a hint of spice that round off the whole with finesse.
Delicious with lobster, scallops, poultry in a creamy sauce, or a refined truffle risotto.
