Astruc Pinot Noir Réserve 2022 is an elegant and refined red wine from the Pays d'Oc. The grapes benefit from the sunny Mediterranean climate, while the influence of the nearby Pyrenees brings coolness and freshness, resulting in a perfectly balanced wine. The wine has a bright ruby-red colour with light garnet highlights. The nose offers intense aromas of ripe cherry, blackcurrant and raspberry, complemented by subtle hints of violet, spice and a touch of vanilla from partial ageing in oak. On the palate this Pinot Noir is soft and elegant, with a silky structure. The fruity notes are nicely balanced by fresh acidity and refined tannins, making for a harmonious and well-balanced taste. The finish is long and delicate, with a subtle spiciness and a mineral touch.
Delicious with grilled duck breast, veal, mushroom risotto or a soft Brie.
Domaine Astruc was founded in 1862 and lies in the heart of the Languedoc-Roussillon, a region known for its excellent wines offering great value for money. The estate combines traditional viticultural techniques with modern innovations, resulting in wines that are both characterful and approachable. The Chardonnay Classique is made from carefully selected grapes that benefit from the Mediterranean climate with its sunny days and cool nights. Part of the wine is aged in oak barrels, giving it subtle complexity and a pleasant roundness.
