Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2018 Fanti is a beautiful expression of Sangiovese Grosso from iconic Montalcino. The wine has a deep ruby red colour with subtle garnet hues. On the nose it opens with intense aromas of ripe cherries, plums and red berries, complemented by refined notes of liquorice, tobacco, leather and cedarwood. Hints of dried herbs and spices add further complexity. The palate is powerful and well balanced, with a lively acidity that preserves its freshness. The ripe tannins are velvety and give a harmonious structure. Flavours of dark fruit, spice and earthy notes come together beautifully in a layered, refined profile. The finish is long and elegant, with mineral accents and a subtle hint of oak.
