The Beaujolais Villages 2023 Domaine de Colonat is a characterful and expressive wine from the hilly parts of the Beaujolais region. Made from 100% Gamay, a grape known for its fruity and supple style. The wine has a bright ruby colour with purple reflections. On the nose a seductive bouquet of ripe red berries such as raspberry and cherry emerges, complemented by floral notes of violets and a subtle spiciness. On the palate the wine is juicy and refined, with a lovely balance between freshness and soft tannins. The light spicy nuances and lively fruitiness make it wonderfully easy to drink. The finish is elegant and fruity, with a touch of spice and a subtle minerality.
Excellent with charcuterie, grilled chicken, spicy vegetable dishes or soft cheeses such as Brie and Camembert.
