Ice Impérial Rosé from Moët & Chandon is the first rosé Champagne created specifically to be served over ice. The blend consists mainly of Pinot Noir and Meunier, complemented by a small proportion of Chardonnay and 20 to 30% reserve wines; a portion of red wine provides the colour. In the glass the Champagne shows a radiant deep pink with subtle golden reflections. The nose is exuberant, with morello cherries and cranberry, juicy fig and nectarine, and a sweet touch of grenadine.
Thanks to the generous demi-sec-style dosage, the palate is full and fruity, with a juicy, soft yet firm texture. Over ice the freshness of the red fruit really comes into its own: the sweetness recedes and the wine becomes invigorating and light-footed. The finish ends with a slight bitterness reminiscent of pink grapefruit. Serve over ice in a large wine glass.
Delightful on a summer terrace with red fruit, watermelon, fruit salad or light desserts with raspberries and strawberries.
