Solustro 2025 is a fresh Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico from CasalFarneto, made from selected grapes from the northern part of the appellation, where the vineyards benefit from breezes off both the mountains and the sea. The grapes are hand-picked, chilled and gently pressed under a blanket of nitrogen, after which the must ferments at 16-18 °C in stainless steel. The wine rests on its fine lees until bottling. The colour is pale straw with green reflections. The nose shows apple, citrus, white flowers and hawthorn, with the typical almond note of Verdicchio.
On the palate the wine is fresh and refined, with an attractive minerality and a balanced structure. Ageing on the lees gives it a soft, enveloping texture. The finish is clean and persistent, with a subtle almond-like aftertaste.
Versatile with fish and seafood, light pasta dishes and warm or cold starters.
