The Montresor Urban Park Appassimento 2020 is an expressive red wine from the Veneto region, produced by the historic Montresor winery, founded in 1892. The wine is made from the classic Valpolicella grapes Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, which are dried for around 30 days after harvest to concentrate the flavours. After fermentation the wine is aged partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in French oak barrels. In the glass the wine shows a deep ruby colour. The bouquet offers aromas of ripe cherries, blackberries and a touch of spice. On the palate the wine is full and smooth, with a round structure, soft tannins and a light touch of sweetness on the finish.
This wine pairs excellently with red meat, game dishes, rich pasta dishes and mature cheeses. Serve the wine at 16-18°C to enjoy it at its best.
