Sancerre Rosé 2025 from Domaine Bonnard is made from Pinot Noir, the black grape of Sancerre. After brief skin contact the juice is fermented at low temperature, producing a fresh, refined rosé. In the glass the wine shows a pale salmon-pink colour. The nose is delicate and fruity, with subtle notes of strawberry and apricot and a hint of redcurrant.
On the palate the wine is crisp and elegant, with soft red fruit carried by the lively acidity so typical of the Loire. The wine is slender, without heaviness, and finishes dry and refreshing. A refined rosé that shows well both as an aperitif and at the table.
Delicious with fresh oysters, salmon or tuna tartare, salade niçoise and light summer dishes from the grill.
