Poli Sarpa Oro is an artisanal grappa that offers a perfect balance between power and finesse. The name "Sarpa" means "grape skins" in Venetian, which refers to the essential ingredient of this distillate. The grappa is made from the marc of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, which provides a characterful and structured style. The colour is a deep golden yellow, obtained from ageing in small oak barrels. On the nose, this grappa offers complex and warm aromas, with notes of vanilla, honey, cinnamon, dried figs and roasted hazelnuts. On the palate, the grappa is full and round, with a beautiful harmony between woody notes, sweet spices and ripe fruit. The structure is velvety and mouth-filling, with subtle hints of caramel and an elegant spicy touch. The finish is long and refined, with lingering notes of dried fruit, cocoa and a hint of oak.
Delicious as a digestif, ideal with dark chocolate, nut tart or a good cigar.
