Mr. Glass 2025 from Weingut Pesau is a dry Grüner Veltliner from Falkenstein, in the north-east of the Weinviertel. The grapes come from organically farmed vineyards on meagre limestone soils over loess and loam, where the cool microclimate brings freshness and minerality. In the glass the wine shows a pale, green-yellow colour. The nose is fresh and pure, with green apple, citrus and white pepper, the characteristic 'Pfefferl' of Weinviertel Grüner Veltliner.
On the palate the wine is lively and juicy, with fresh acidity, notes of apple and citrus and a spicy, lightly peppery touch. The structure is slender and pure, with a clear mineral undertone that betrays its limestone origins. The finish is fresh and invigorating, with a light spiciness. An approachable, versatile Grüner Veltliner to enjoy young.
