Chateau D'Issan

Chateau D'Issan

Château d'Issan is a historic estate in Margaux and is a Third Growth (3e Grand Cru Classé) in the 1855 classification. The château has a rich history dating back to the 12th century, and its wines were already renowned for their exceptional quality in the time of Louis XIV.

The vineyards cover 59 hectares and lie on the classic gravel and clay soils of Margaux, ideal for ripening Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Château d'Issan combines traditional winegrowing techniques with modern precision, resulting in wines marked by elegance, finesse and ageing potential.

Vinification takes place in concrete and stainless-steel tanks, followed by 18 months of ageing in French oak barrels, 50% of them new. This ensures a subtle integration of oak without overpowering the fruit.

With its refined structure and timeless elegance, Château d'Issan remains one of the most sought-after wines from Margaux.
