Chateau Picque Caillou
Chateau Picque Caillou
Château Picque Caillou lies on the edge of the city of Bordeaux, in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation. The estate has existed since the 18th century and benefits from pebble-rich, free-draining soils – the "cailloux" from which the château takes its name. The vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a small amount of Petit Verdot. Led by a dedicated team, the château combines tradition with modern techniques, resulting in wines that are both powerful and refined. The 2005 is an excellent example of its style: rich, structured and with great ageing potential, as this bottle convincingly proves.
