Chateau du Courlat

Château du Courlat lies in the Lussac-Saint-Émilion AOC, one of the satellite appellations of Saint-Émilion. The château is owned by the Borie-Manoux family, known for their classic, terroir-driven Bordeaux wines.

The vineyards lie on a mix of limestone-rich clay soils, which are particularly well suited to Merlot, which develops full ripeness and elegance here. The wine is made traditionally and aged for 12 to 15 months in French oak barrels, part of them new, for additional depth and complexity.
