Xavier Monnot
Xavier Monnot is a renowned Burgundy winemaker, known for his refined and expressive wines. The domaine is based in Meursault and includes vineyards in some of the most prestigious appellations of the Côte de Beaune.
The Beaune 1er Cru "Cent Vignes" comes from a special plot that owes its name to the historic "hundred vines" that once grew here. The soil consists mainly of limestone and clay, giving a mineral finesse and a beautiful expression of Pinot Noir.
Vinified using a combination of traditional and modern techniques, this wine is aged for 12 to 14 months in French oak barrels (30% new). This contributes to the subtle oak notes and the layered structure of the wine.
The 2019 vintage is known as an outstanding one in Burgundy, with a perfect balance between ripeness and freshness, giving this wine great ageing potential until at least 2032.
