Domaine de Colonat

Domaine de Colonat

Domaine de Colonat is a family estate that has been based in the heart of the Beaujolais since the 18th century. The estate covers around 20 hectares of vineyards, planted mainly with Gamay, the grape so characteristic of the region. The vineyards lie in some of the most prestigious appellations of Beaujolais, including Moulin-à-Vent, known for its powerful and structured wines.

The estate's old vines, with an average age of more than 50 years, are carefully tended to preserve the expression of the terroir. Domaine de Colonat uses traditional winemaking techniques, such as semi-carbonic maceration, combined with modern methods to ensure the purity of the fruit.

The estate has gained international recognition for its wines and exports to various markets worldwide. The focus is on producing authentic, terroir-driven wines that reflect the elegance and power of Beaujolais in a unique way.
