Claude Vialade

Claude Vialade

Claude Vialade is a leading name in the wine world of Languedoc-Roussillon and is known as one of the foremost ambassadors of organic viticulture in the south of France. As founder of Les Domaines Auriol, she combines the traditions of Occitan wine culture with a modern vision of sustainability, quality and international market development. The family story begins with her father, Jean Vialade, a pioneer of organic viticulture, who ensured that the Ribaute cooperative became the first in Europe to convert fully to organic farming. Claude built on this legacy and developed a wine business centred on respect for nature, terroir and people.

Today Claude Vialade works with an extensive network of growers and manages several estates of her own, including Château Cicéron, Château Saint-Auriol and Montmija. The focus is on organic and biodynamic viticulture, using innovative techniques to limit the impact of climate change and increase biodiversity. By working closely with local growers, she also supports the transition to sustainable viticulture. The wines are characterised by their Mediterranean character, pure fruit expression and excellent value for money. The range runs from fresh, approachable IGP wines to characterful appellation wines from Corbières, Minervois, Fitou and Côtes du Roussillon, among others.
