Chateau Marquis de Terme
Chateau Marquis de Terme
Château Marquis de Terme is a Fourth Growth (4ème Grand Cru Classé) in the celebrated 1855 Bordeaux classification. Located in the heart of the Margaux appellation, this château is known for its elegant and refined wines that combine power and finesse.
The vineyards cover around 40 hectares, with a terroir of gravel-rich soils that provide excellent drainage and optimal ripening of the grapes. The vines are on average 35 years old, giving a concentrated and complex flavour profile.
The wine is aged for around 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels, part of them new, to give structure and depth without overpowering the fruit. 2016 was an exceptional vintage in Bordeaux, marked by a perfect balance between ripeness, freshness and tannic structure, resulting in a wine with great ageing potential.
Château Marquis de Terme remains a benchmark for Margaux, with a style that exudes both power and elegance.
