Wente

Founded in 1883, Wente Vineyards is the oldest family-run winery in the United States. Located in the Livermore Valley, it is known for its pioneering role in Californian viticulture, particularly in the production of Chardonnay. The 'Wente Clone' of Chardonnay, developed by this winery, is now used in more than 75% of all Californian Chardonnay plantings.
