Chateau Fleur Pedesclaux

Chateau Fleur Pedesclaux

Château Fleur Pedesclaux is a respected wine estate in Pauillac, Bordeaux, known for its approachable yet expressive wines. The estate was founded in 1810 by Pierre Urbain Pedesclaux and over the years grew into an established name in the region. Although it is not officially classified as a Grand Cru Classé, it is often regarded as a hidden gem of Pauillac, with wines that offer excellent value for money.

The estate currently covers around 50 hectares, planted mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with a smaller proportion of Petit Verdot. The vineyards benefit from their favourable position on the famous gravel soils of Pauillac, which contributes to the complex minerality and structure of the wines. The winemakers at Château Fleur Pedesclaux combine traditional methods with modern techniques to produce wines that remain true to the terroir and character of Pauillac.

In recent years the estate has invested in sustainable viticulture and in modernising its cellar, leading to a steady improvement in wine quality. It also offers tastings and guided tours for visitors interested in the rich history and production of these splendid Bordeaux wines.
