Wilhelm Zähringer

Founded in 1844, the Zähringer wine estate is a family estate located in the southern part of the German wine region of Baden. With more than 170 years of winemaking experience, Zähringer combines traditional methods with modern techniques to produce high-quality wines. The estate is a pioneer of organic and biodynamic viticulture in Germany, and all its wines are produced sustainably.

Zähringer has around 20 hectares of vineyards, on ideal sites that benefit from the warm influences of the Rhine Valley. Here it grows mainly classic grape varieties such as Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which form the basis of its sparkling and still wines.

The estate is known for its focus on quality and sustainability, and its wines have received numerous awards at both national and international level. Zähringer also offers tours and tastings, giving visitors in-depth insight into its production process and philosophy. Its Crémant Extra Brut is one of its most popular products, appreciated for its elegance, freshness and refined sparkling character.
